Intelligent family dogs for work and play

Thank you for inquiring about Ransomshire German Shepherds. We are dedicated breeders. We breed to Champion stud dogs to produce high quality German Shepherds that conform to the Breed Standard and are intelligent, healthy, well-adjusted examples of the breed. We are committed to improving the health of our breed and breed only dogs with an OFA rating of GOOD or EXCELLENT.  We closely follow the book The Art of Raising a Puppy, by the Monks of New Skete, and we send each pup home with a copy of that book if they don’t have one. Reading that book will help you understand what we are about and what kind of start this puppy has received during its first 7-8 weeks.

We are AKC breeders. As members of the German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Raleigh, North Carolina Area www.gsdcgraleigh.org/  (GSDCGR Includes Cary, Durham, Chapel Hill, Morrisville, Pittsboro, Research Triangle Park RTP, Garner, Clayton, Rolesville, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Wendell, Zebulon, Apex, Creedmoor, Holly Springs, Hillsborough, Louisburg, etc.) and of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, we share concerns, information and ideas with other knowledgeable dog people who have a passion to improve this noble breed. We screen our prospective puppy owners and choose the homes for puppies with people who understand that they are adopting a family member who needs training and TLC to become the companion they will be proud to have by their side.

We expect a litter in March 2011. Let us know if you would like to be on our waiting list for the next litter, which requires an accepted questionnaire and a $300 deposit. Cost of puppies is $1500.
